Rooms
Am I actually locked in the room?
No. We do not lock the door to any of the rooms. You are always able to leave for any reason.
Can we just show up?
You can always show up, but we strongly recommend that you make a booking in advance. Please remember that there is absolutely no guarantee that the escape room you want will be available unless you book prior to arrival.
Do we have to pre-pay online?
No, but we offer the option to pre-pay online with any credit or debit card. If you prefer to pay upon arrival, simply e-mail us at unlockedott@gmail.com and we will create a booking for you.
Is there an age requirement?
The kids mode for our games is designed for players 8+. Younger players are allowed to participate but the game will be too difficult for them to complete without a guardian present.
What time should we arrive?
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your start time to process your booking and to get your team prepped for the adventure. Please do not arrive earlier than 10 minutes.
How can we change or cancel a reservation?
Contact us at locksmith@unlockedottawa.com to make any changes to your existing reservation.
If you paid online a full refund will be issued as long as you give 6 hours notice in case of cancellation. If you paid for more players than will actually show up you will be issued a refund for the no-show players. Full refund with less notice may be given for extenuating circunstances.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, we do! Gift certificates are available for purchase in-store or online. CLICK HERE to purchase a gift card online.
Are your rooms bilingual?
We have bilingual versions of both SuperHEIST and the Victorian Vampire rooms, however all instruction before the room will be delivered in English. Please make a note when booking if you want French clues and we will do our best to dedicate a bilingual game host.
Are your escape rooms accessible?
We do our best to design rooms that are physically accessible to everyone (full sized doors, no crawlspaces etc) however please note that we are on the second floor of a building that does not have an elevator.
